Tacoma Tide Sports Club is organizing a basketball program for local youth. It’s a great idea. It will be called 3V3 and it will feature three-on-three basketball competition for boys and girls in grades six, seven and eight. The season will run from April 3 to May 8.

The girls will play at Life Christian Academy from 1 to 3 p.m. The boys will play at Charles Wright Academy in University Place from 6 to 10 p.m and at the Boys & Girls Club HOPE Center in Gig Harbor from 7 to 10 p.m.

Members of the Tacoma Tide basket will be involved in providing instruction to the young players. A meeting is planned for March 27 at Curtis High School in the gym for players, parents and volunteers at 12:30. Former Seattle SuperSonics player James Donaldson will be among the speakers.
