The Tacoma Baptist girls earned a spot in the state basketball tournament next week in Yakima with a 41-37 win over Evergreen Lutheran. The Crusaders will play for the district title on Saturday (Feb. 27) against Darrington at Chief Leschi at 4:30 p.m.

In the win against Evergreen, Melanie Shank had 23 points, seven rebounds and three steals.  She has now scored 1460 points in her high school career.
